Beatles, Bobby, Beaver, and the Road
March 18, 2020
The conversation I had with Beatles expert Robert Rodriguez, on his podcast Something About the Beatles, is one of the best interviews I've ever done—and I've done hundreds since Nowhere Man: The Final Days of John Lennon was published in 2000. Over the course of almost two hours, Robert and I discuss not only the Beatles, but also my most recent book, Bobby in Naziland: A Tale of Flatbush; my history of pornography, Beaver Street; and the as-yet-untitled book I'm currently working on. That book, which began as a story about hitchhiking, has since evolved into an all-encompassing tale of the social and political upheaval of 1970s, told from my perspective as the editor of a radical and pornographic student newspaper.
So, while you're waiting for me to finish my work in progress, now's a good time to catch up on my other books. They're all available everywhere books are sold.
